Disability Golf at Beamish Park Golf Club
At Beamish Park Golf Club, we are proud to offer an inclusive and welcoming Disability Golf programme, ensuring that golf is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We work with children, young adults, and adults with all types of disabilities, providing opportunities to experience, learn, and progress in the game of golf.

David Stocks – Disability Lead & CGI Coach
Our Disability Golf programme is led by David Stocks, Disability Lead and CGI Coach at Beamish Park Golf Club.
David is a professional golfer on the European Disabled Golf Tour and is dedicated to making golf accessible to all. He also serves as the Durham County Golf Union Disability Ambassador, championing inclusive golf across the region.
Whether working in the community or on the course, David uses his professional expertise and lived experience to introduce and develop golf skills for people of all abilities. His passion is showing that golf truly is a game for everyone—regardless of ability.
Inclusive Coaching for All Abilities
Our programme supports participants with a wide range of needs and abilities. We work with children, young adults, and adults with all types of disabilities, including physical, sensory, and learning disabilities.
We have worked in association with Newcastle Deaf Centre to deliver coaching sessions for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. We also work in partnership with the England and Wales Blind Golf Association to provide coaching for golfers who are visually impaired or blind.
Taster Sessions and Player Pathway
We offer monthly disability golf taster sessions, providing a relaxed and supportive introduction to the game. These sessions help build confidence, develop skills, and create a clear pathway from first experience through to playing on the golf course.
The Beamish Disability Golf Hub
The Disability Golf Hub at Beamish Park Golf Club is delivered in conjunction with Durham County Golf Union and is supported by our corporate partner, Newmedica.
Together, we are committed to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities so that everyone can enjoy golf in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
